The Justice, Development and Peace Commission/Caritas (JDPC) is registered with CAC as Justice, Human Development and Peace Initiative (JHDPI). JHDPI is a social arm of the Church in the Catholic Diocese of Jalingo, However its programmes go beyond the confines of the Church and covers the whole of Taraba State in its outreach.

Though JDPC is a Catholic Organization, its projects and programmes benefit all religions and ethnic groups. JDPC believes in rendering support and aid to those in need. The JDPC programme has been in existence since the late 90s as the social development arm of the church. JDPC is well structured. It has Board Members, Commission Members, Management Team, program/project staff, Volunteers, Interns.

JDPC Jalingo covers all the sixteen (16) Local Government Areas of Taraba State which include: Ardo Kola, Bali, Donga, Gashaka, Gassol, Ibi, Jalingo, Karim Lamido, Kurmi, Lau, Sardauna, Takum, Ussa, Wukari, Yorro, and Zing, and two (2) Special Development Areas: Yangtu and Ngada.Â
